Finishing is a delicate process that requires a minimum machining allowance (no more than 0.1–0.2 mm per side). If you leave too much allowance, the tool will start to "rattle", which will instantly lead to the appearance of edges and ellipsis inside the hole, as well as premature blunting of the finishing sweep.
