Description Rheological additive - RHEOBYK 410 for paint and varnish works Product Description: RHEOBYK 410 is a highly effective rheological additive (thickener and stabilizer) designed to modify the viscosity and stability of water— and solution-based plastic formulations. It does not contain NMP (N-methylpyrrolidone). Basic properties: • Has thixotropic properties (viscosity decreases with stirring and is restored at rest); • Prevents settling of pigments and fillers; • Ensures a stable consistency of the material; • Compatible with most organic solution systems. Scope of application: • Production of varnishes and paints; • Plastic coatings and sealants; • Systems based on polyurethane and epoxy resins; • Various industrial formulations based on solution or water. How to use: • It is added to the prepared mixture (ready-to-use formula); • Apply at low or medium mixing speed — it is important to avoid high speeds so as not to lose the effect; • The recommended dosage is from 0.5% to 3.0% of the total mass of the finished mixture.; • If it is necessary to add more than 3.0%, it is mandatory to conduct a laboratory test. Technical specifications: • Appearance: yellowish liquid; • Active substance content: 100% (about 50% non-volatile substances); • Flash point: about 85°C; • Storage temperature: from +3°C to +30°C (protect from moisture and frost); • Shelf life: up to 1 year in the original sealed container.
